Every January the Doctor of Ministry Program holds a week-long intensive for its students that includes a week of programs geared to uplifting the church, ministers, and the congregants.  Plenary Session II features Min. Minister Ananias “Markey” Montague was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He has been the Minister of Music and Fine Arts at the Salem Baptist Church for ten years. He has produced five music projects in his time at Salem. He has worked with Richard Smallwood, Ricky Dillard, Kim McFarland, Lyle Lovett, and many others. He has also toured Europe spreading the Gospel through song. Currently, he is working on his dual Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Biblical Studies. This year Minister Montague will be featured as the workshop conductor in Rome at Choirfest. He will also be on tour in Spain, Italy, Switzerland, and France. In 2020, he will be the Artist in Residency at the University of Dayton! He is married to the former Darinda Westbrook. Minister Montague’s motto is “Be authentic in everything”.
